Audition Material
Mock Trial is a fantastic activity designed to improve public speaking, acting, and oral advocacy skills. However NO EXPERIENCE is required to audition. We have redesigned our audition process to evaluate your public speaking and acting capabilities rather than your knowledge of Mock Trial!

Questioning Period
- You will be asked questions about your hobbies, interests, and other commitments, as well as a few problem solving questions. The goal of this questioning period is to get to know who you are!
- This can be any sort of monologue you want. It can be sad, funny, angry, or anything else. You can use a monologue from a movie, book, or anywhere else you’d like. Have fun with it, but this should not be a persuasive or argumentative speech. We’ve provided you with 3 example monologues if you’re completely lost, but feel free to present anything. Also if you can do an accent, feel free to use it!

- Pick a person—one you know, someone historical or famous, or someone fictional—and pretend they are being accused of a crime. It’s your job to explain what they are being accused of and why they are innocent.
